Thank goodness I got stuck with the peer for the peer review, instead of someone else ignorant of the grammar and structure of the English language. Nearly every comment she left on my paper was a suggestion to utterly destroy the proper English. There was one suggestion to write about the symbology of an item in the story that had absolutely nothing to do with my thesis!!! I can only hope that the instructor sends students receiving such reviews something to say, "Dear God, don't do THAT!!!"
