Dear Child Who Never Was,

I realized today that you would be 18 - a legal adult, and almost 19. I miss you today, even though I am so grateful that God chose to take you home to him, long before making you live a life on this earth that would likely have been full of strife and misfortune. I just want you to know that I love you now, as I loved you then, and I hope I get to know you one day in heaven.
