I know it's not my real wedding, but it's as close as I've had - all of the planning and preparing and getting excited and nervous. And I guess it's natural to feel the loss of those you most wish could be there. I miss my grandma, I miss Christine. They should both have been deeply involved. I try not to ask too much of anyone. It sure seems like I should be getting SOME special attention without having to ask, though.
