Ooh! It's Sunday!

I was just getting ready to say that there wasn't much to report, and then I got all excited because tonight is Coffee Night. Yay!

I went to an Independence Day party last night. It was hosted by Freakishly Skinny Cardiac Cath-Lab Chick. I guess she and her hubby host one every year. I didn't go last year because I was half afraid that it was some kind of wife-swapping party (the hosts are not-in-the-closet swingers), but you know, ya toss in the promise of a karaoke DJ, and I'm there. Anyway, it would probably have been more fun if I'd delved into the alcohol, but I had to a)drive home, and b)go to work the next morning. It wasn't bad, though. Denise (Skinny Chick - gods, can you believe that used to be me? I mean, minus the tank tops and mini skirt) recognized me from the Dambar, and asked if I would sing the first karaoke song, just to get things rolling. I whole-heartedly agreed, and before long there were 5 or 6 other singers. Ta-da! I even got up and did the Electric Slide. Unfortunately, I was the only one doing it that wasn't drunk, and everyone else kept missing steps and throwing me off. LOL. Fun, anyway. The only bad thing was that I left my crystal serving dishes over there. I hope I get them back - one was a gift from my grandma, and the other was a pathetic attempt from Guardian Fiberglass to show appreciation for the wives that kept their employees in healthy enough condition to have perfect attendance.*pfft*

*ahem*

I'm dying to get the paperwork on my bike so I can take it on the road legally. I've been riding around my neighborhood, just getting used to it, I love riding! I sure could have really used it the other day. I used almost 1/4 tank of gas just driving around town paying bills. I could easily have done that on the scooter and used a quarter tank of gas. Which isn't that much - it only holds about 1.5 gallons! I think I'll go to my insurance company tomorrow with the VIN, and see if I can't get the insurance policy rolling. At least I'll feel like I've accomplished something.
