Thank all the powers that be, my modem isn't broken. Even after my 200+ pound lummox stepped on it.

It's not exactly like the modem was anyplace new. Poor Bill hasn't had an onboard modem since before we took the trip to Hawaii.

The kids are calling the snake Pretty Boy. *sigh* Snakes everywhere will fear him, his assassin skills, and his mob connections.

Is it just me, or have the casinos in Laughlin been adding MORE salt to their crab, to make it less appetizing? All I can figure is that they're trying to make more money off of it. I only ate two platefuls, and was ready to go before COREY was this time. I didn't even think that was possible. Honestly, Christine, you didn't miss much! The koi were just as pathetic/amusing as ever. We spent about half an hour letting the kids feed them. What a clever ploy the casino has. Buy pets to attract visitors, then make the visitors pay to feed them. Heh. As the Guiness guys would say..."Brilliant!"

We've filled up the gas tanks on both cars. We found gas at the other end of town for $2.79/gal., and with the expected arrival of Hurrican Rita, we thought it would be the sensible thing to do.

I tried to call my cousin Dianne, but I guess the number she gave me isn't her cell number, and I had no luck contacting her. I hope she's found someplace safe for her family and her horses. I pray that she wasn't one of the many people trapped on a freeway without gas. Why on EARTH would she want to live in a Gulf region?!? Couldn't just come here to live, like I've BEGGED her a million times. *sigh* I guess all I can do is wait and see. And pray that this isn't the huge storm the media has built it up to be.
